How it all began

Ritual Incense was founded in 2009 as a small personal project by Fran Pérez.

After several jobs and different stages in his life, Fran felt a deep need to get closer to nature and build something that aligned with his understanding of the world. He has always been a sensitive, observant person, deeply connected to the natural environment.

His search for a more coherent, fairer, and more respectful life concerning raw materials led him to begin experimenting with resins, woods, and plants. He couldn't find an incense that truly met what he considered natural and well-made, so he decided to create it himself.

After many trials, adjustments, and learning, he began to develop his own formulas. Each blend was the result of trial and error, patience, and constant attention to detail. This is how Ritual Incense was born: from personal curiosity and the desire to do things differently.

Our way of working

From the beginning, the commitment has been clear: to craft natural incense by hand, respecting the pace of the process and the quality of the raw material.

Each stick is made from scratch:

  • Careful selection of resins, woods, and plants.
  • Manual grinding and mixing with natural bases.
  • Individual shaping.
  • Slow and controlled drying.
  • Manual packaging.

We do not use glues or chemical elements to compact the sticks. The entire process requires precision, time, and attention.

We are not looking to mass produce.
We aim to maintain consistency with the origin.

The team

With the growth of the project, Carlos joined, bringing essential sensibility to the crafting process.

Carlos comes from the world of music, where rhythm, balance, and precision are fundamental. He applies that same precision to the artisanal process of each stick. Handcrafting incense requires concentration, consistency, and a perfectly balanced blend for even burning and proper aroma development.

Fran and Carlos combine experience, sensibility, and dedication. Both strive to ensure that each batch is made with the same care as at the beginning.

We continue to be present at fairs and markets because we value direct contact with people. Today you can also find our products online and receive them at home anywhere in Europe, but the essence remains the same.
